TargetOn is web-based software for activity management.
TargetOn can be used collaboratively by communities of practice and workgroups to plan, implement, measure and manage location and non-location based activities.
Various tools are available to support planning of activities. Firstly, targets are determined. These can be mapped spatially using a simple tool. Target actions are then identified for each target.
Forms can be used to record information relating to each target. In this case an action planning form is used to record what actions are going to be taken against each target. Details such as status, and the action to be undertaken are recorded.
TargetOn enables you to provide information resources for each target to assist planning and implementation. Members of your community of practice can therefore have access to the precise information and knowledge they need to plan and implement activities. Information resources can include files, urls (i.e. webpages), people to contact and so forth.
Monitoring information can be uploaded or linked to each target. These may include beofre, during and after photos or other record keeping files. Each resource can be geo-referenced (i.e. longitude and latitude) using a simple mapping tool.
Selected actions can be added to create an action plan which shows actions to be undertaken against the targets, priorities, responsibilities and due dates. Email remainders can be sent when actions are due.
Reports can be generated from the data captured in the forms. In this case progress in planning and implementing actions is shown.
TargetOn is supported by a library of knowledge base of resources. You can store thousands of resources including files, urls (webpage links), contacts, photos, multimedia files and so forth.
Libraries can be created for your community of practice. These may include management plans, best practice guidelines, contacts and so forth. Resources can be linked to each library item.
Members of your community of practice can discuss the content of library items or share information and knowledge.
